Descripció i   Metodologia:   Teachers are bombarded with proposals to innovate in their lessons but teaching English is sometimes a rather solitary task. Bringing innovation into one’s classrooms is not advisable if one is not able to reflect upon one’s practice and to share with colleagues the pros and cons of adopting innovative teaching methodologies.

The course main purpose is to make learning and teaching much more updated, fun, simple, dynamic and adapted to the 21st century competencies and skills primary pupils need to master. Teachers will be provided with practical tools and strategies to help them introduce and implement meaningful CLIL and non-CLIL projects in their English lessons using ICT and Social Platforms. A special effort will be given in having time to share and reflect upon how to lead innovation. Therefore, apart from being introduced to ongoing teaching experiences, participants will be encouraged to take part in debates and round tables.

Once the course is completed, participants will have a pool of resources and materials all organized in a shared dropbox.
  
Objectius   1.To gain knowledge and abilities on how to innovate in the English & CLIL classrooms.
2.To strengthen one’s digital competences and learn how to help pupils become digitally competent.
3.To learn new strategies to manage and energize the English classroom.
4. To know how to participate in collaborative projects promoting the European and international dimension of schools.
  
Continguts   This is a practical course. Theory will be constructed while participants reflect upon the proposals presented by the trainer and while they engage in the process of exchanging of educational materials.

Course contents include:
•Methodological resources to use in the English and CLIL classrooms.
•Tips for classroom management.
•Games, songs, materials and digital tools
•Flipped classrooms
•Robotics.
•Project design
•Proposals for Internationalisation (Erasmus+, English day, Etwinning...)

Day 1
(a)Detection of group needs, worries, interests & expectations.
(b)Tips, proposals and discussion (round table about) on the following topics:
The ins & outs of teaching English in kindergarten.
The ins & outs of teaching English in primary education
CLIL (Science, Arts&Crafts, P.E...)
(c) Sharing task routines.
(d) Group reflection of the day using the 3,2,1 method (3 things you remembered, 2 examples you learned, 1 question you have)

Day 2. Computer room
(a)Learning is sharing... Your individual resource time!
(b)How to use games, songs, materials and robotics in the foreign language classroom. Expert groups.
(c)Hands-on workshop (participants' own devices are required) on digital resources (Kahoot, Thinglink, Quizizz,...)
(d)Group reflection of the day using the 3,2,1 method.

Day 3
(a)Learning is sharing...Your individual resource time!
(b)Classroom management tips.
(c)Flipped classrooms.
(d) CLIL. Bloom's taxonomy. Where are we?
(e)Group reflection of the day using 3,2,1 method.

Day 4
(a)Learning is sharing...Your individual resource time.
(b)Project design: how to start planning an international project with your pupils?
(c)General group reflection of the course. Kahoot time!

  
Observacions   Aquesta formació té una part telemàtica de 5h. Les sessions presencials són els dies 3,4,5 i 7 de juliol de 9:00 a 15:15 h.

Avaluació   To pass this course, participants will be required to participate actively in the class activities and will be encouraged to reflect on how to use the new materials and resources in their own classrooms.
